Smith & Harroff’s staff in Alexandria, VA at times serves as the staff of record for associations and coalitions that otherwise cannot afford to maintain a presence in the area.

Aside from offering management of processes, communications and outreach, S&H offers administrative services, conference room use and office space to several clients.

Consumer Aerosol Products Council

For ten years S&H managed CAPCO and provided a variety of communications services for the organization. From fielding all inquiries and requests from teachers and the general public, managing budget and processes, conducting outreach activities, administering a scholarship program, and designing and maintaining their website.

Large Public Power Council

For eight years S&H provided offices and communication services for LPPC, a trade association comprised of the nation’s largest public power utilities. S&H worked closely with LPPC’s executive director on day-to-day association activities and events. We maintained a dedicated telephone line, received and forwarded LPPC correspondence, maintained the LPPC website and created and disseminated press releases and mailings to LPPC members.


S&H represented the company’s interests in Washington by attending meetings of the Aluminum Association and serving as a point of contact for interaction and communication between Alcan and the U.S. federal government. We also developed press releases and white papers and scheduled meetings in Washington for Alcan’s CEO and other corporate management officials.

Alliance for Energy and Economic Growth

S&H represented AEEG in Washington and served as its public affairs office, including maintaining a phone hotline and fielding requests for information from the media and the public.
